Almost two years ago, I did a train trip across Canada and the US on which I visited some friends in Baltimore. There I noticed a lot of dead birds and took pictures of some of them. Ever since, my Baltimore friends keep sending me more pictures of dead birds. This is a catalogue.
Dead Bird Count: 20 (April 2023 – Dec 2024)
The First Birds
These poor avians were just the ones I—or my friends—noticed while I was there. Note the varying states of decay.
However since that trip, I’ve gotten regular updates from my friends where they’ve sent me EVEN MORE PICTURES OF DEAD BIRDS. Enough, in fact, for me to break down down into categories and add some details.
Category One: Basic Dead Song Birds
The majority of the birds appear to be dead sparrows or similar birds. There are so many of these, I will simply present without comment.
More Artistic Dead Birds
After this, we have a few more bird corpses that are artistic in nature.
